Shiraz Cottage Terms & Conditions -
Guests will be asked to sign a contract containing these terms prior to rental.
1. Check in time is from 3.00pm - 6.00pm unless by prior arrangement. Please phone our Property Manager Edwin Stolk to arrange your check in time.
2. Check out time is no later than 11.00am unless by prior arrangement. Late check out may result in a fee of R200 per hour or part thereof as cleaners may be waiting to service the house when you leave.
3. The number of persons using the cottage must not exceed the number of guests stated on the booking form. For bookings of 2 people or less, linen for one bedroom only will be available unless by prior arrangement. For any extra guest, we charge R450 per night and for extra bedding we charge R75 per set.
4. The owners of the cottage or our agent are to be allowed access to the property at any reasonable time during any holiday occupancy provided that reasonable notice is given and guest's privacy is not unduly disturbed.
5. Use of the premises, including use of the swimming pool, is entirely at the guests own risk. The owners and their agents accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of the premises by the guests.
6. Please do not use glass or glass bottles in or around the swimming pool. Please do not remove the pool hoover (barracuda) from the pool – the motor will burn out - the barracuda is designed to stay in the pool permanently and is completely safe.
7. The guests agree to keep the property and contents in the same state of repair and condition and to leave the premises in the same state of general order in which it was found. The guests agree to pay for any repairs/cleaning/replacement cost or unreasonable untidiness.
8. Please don’t use bathroom towels by the pool, please use the pool towels provided.
9. Smoking is not permitted in the house under any circumstances. If you smoke anywhere indoors, you a) forfeit your damages deposit, b) our agent may charge you an additional fee for cleaning and c) our agents may require you to vacate the property before the end of your stay. You will remain liable for the full cost of your stay and no refund will be paid.
10. Any charges relating to breach of the above conditions by the guests will be deducted from the deposit or your credit card, whichever is applicable.
11. House guests are required to activate the security system when leaving the house unoccupied during the day or evening.
12. Booking is subject to cancellation terms - if you cancel...
less than 7 days before your arrival, you forfeit 100% of your total accommodation value
less than 14 days before your arrival, you forfeit 75% of your total accommodation value
less than 21 days before your arrival, you forfeit 50% of your total accommodation value
less than 28 days before your arrival, you forfeit 25% of your total accommodation value
more than 29 days before your arrival, you forfeit 0% of your total accommodation value
In the event of a cancellation, refunds are subject to the discretionary deduction of any credit card charges and/or commissions incurred by Shiraz Cottage.
